This is a major step forward in how communities can come together, communicate, and support one another — all within a space that reflects how they actually operate in real life. Whether you’re part of a school, childcare centre, sporting club, residential group, local club committee, or support network, this feature is designed to bring your people together in a structured, secure, and flexible way.

Why Organisations & Groups?

Whether you’re running a school community, a local club committee, a body corporate group, a disability support network, or a sporting club, staying connected isn’t easy. Communication becomes fragmented. Privacy can feel unclear. And most platforms simply don’t reflect how real communities actually operate.

Organisations & Groups changes that.

Unlike generic group tools, this is built specifically for real-world communities — where structure, trust, and support matter.

It gives you a dedicated space within Mind For Me to bring your people together, structure your community your way, and enable safe, meaningful engagement.

Built for Real Communities

Communities aren’t one-size-fits-all — and your digital tools shouldn’t be either. Organisations & Groups have been designed to support a wide range of real-world uses, including:

• Schools, P&Cs, and classrooms
• Childcare centres and playgroups
• Sporting clubs and teams
• Residential communities
• Community organisations, festivals, and neighbourhood groups
• Support networks and care-based communities
• Social groups like Mum’s groups or Men’s Sheds

And importantly — you’re not limited to just one group.

Structure Your Community, Your Way

One of the most powerful aspects of this feature is its flexibility. You can create an Organisation as your main hub, add multiple Groups within it, and even nest Groups inside other Groups.

This allows you to mirror your real-world structure — exactly. For example:

• A school could organise by: Year Level → Class → Extracurricular Activities
• A local festival/event could organise by: Organising Committee → Volunteer Rosters → Stallholders
• A community network (like Little Village QLD) could organise by: Region → Weekly Playgroups → Toy Library

Families or Individuals: Designed for Both

Not every group operates the same way — and membership shouldn’t be forced into a single model. With Mind For Me, Group Administrators can choose exactly how their community is structured:

Families

Perfect for school classes, childcare rooms, or junior sporting teams. This allows entire households to stay connected and engaged together.

Individuals

Ideal for support groups, social communities, and adult-focused organisations. This keeps engagement personal, flexible, and independent.

Privacy First, With Real Control

Connection should never come at the cost of privacy. That’s why Organisations & Groups are built with layered, user-first privacy controls — giving both administrators and members meaningful control over their experience.

For Administrators

Group managers have full control over how their community operates. You can define:

• Public or Private visibility
• Open, Approval-based, or Invitation-only access
• Messaging, discussions, and announcements
• Attachments and commenting permissions
• Whether external members can request or offer support

You shape the environment to suit your community.

For Individual Members

Every person retains control over how they engage. Members can manage:

• Visibility: All, Organisation, Group, or None
• Privacy Overrides: Appear within trusted groups while staying private elsewhere
• Notifications: What they receive and when
