Asking for help shouldn’t feel awkward. And yet, too often, we struggle to reach out – even for the smallest things. Mind For Me was built to make support easy, natural, and part of everyday life.
Whether you’re hoping for an occasional helping hand or eager to build stronger neighbourhood connections, getting started takes just a few minutes. Here’s how to unlock the full value of your account from Day One.
1. Set Up Your Account (It Only Takes a Moment)
Your Mind For Me profile is your home base – a place to introduce yourself, include your family members, pets, and share what matters to you.
✔ Complete your basic details
- Add your name, photo, and home location
- Include partner/spouse, children, and pets
- Add a friendly family photo (these help others recognise you, appearing as a thumbnail on the Dashboard for Friends)
Privacy note:
Your profile details are private by default and only visible to people you approve as Friends. You remain in control at all times.
2. Verify Email + Mobile to Earn Your First Care Coins
Care Coins are Mind For Me’s way of recognising the time and help we give each other, and breaks-down the barriers in asking. You earn a few automatically when you verify your:
- Email address
- Mobile number

That gives you a starting balance so you can confidently make your first request for support.
3. Build Your Network — Add Friends or Invite Neighbours
Mind For Me works best when the people around you are connected with you.
✔ If you already know someone on the platform
Go to Friends → Search, look them up, and add them.
✔ If you’re new and don’t yet know who’s here
Invite a handful of people in your neighbourhood. They’ll receive:
- An extended free trial
- Your friendship request
- And you’ll receive bonus Care Coins for each person who joins

Even inviting just 3–5 people creates momentum. Suddenly, someone nearby is available to help when you ask – and they’re delighted when you offer help back!
4. Think About the Help You Might Need
Once your profile and network are set, the best next step is simple: make a request.
People are far more willing to help than we often expect – and Care Coins take away any sense of a favour or obligation.

Here are some easy, popular examples to get started:
✔ Childminding
Planning a date night? Need a child-free hour to get errands done? Ask trusted friends nearby who have already joined your network.
✔ Pet Support
A lunchtime dog walk or letting a pet out during the day can be enormously helpful.
✔ Borrowing Items
Need a high-pressure cleaner? A ladder? A specific tool for a weekend job?
These are small tasks for someone else – but can save you time, money, and stress.
✔ Household Help
Assistance with basic gardening, collecting mail, or helping carry something heavy.
5. Offer the Help That Fits Naturally Into Your Routine
You don’t need to go out of your way to support others – Mind For Me encourages help that’s easy, natural, and mutually beneficial.
Some ideas:
✔ Childminding – Playdate
If you’re home with your kids anyway, offering to mind another child turns your evening into a fun playdate while giving someone else a break.
✔ Carpooling
If you’re heading to the city, shops, uni, or the airport, someone nearby might be grateful for a lift.
✔ Pets – Walking a Dog
You might look to go for exercise and a walk anyway – why not offer to walk a dog.
✔ Simple Favour Swaps
Anything quick, neighbourly, and helpful is perfect for Mind For Me.

6. The More You Engage, the More Value You Unlock
Mind For Me creates a cycle of support.
You help where it’s easy → earn Care Coins → ask when you need help → others feel confident to ask too.
Many hands really do make light work – and this is how communities grow stronger without money, pressure, or awkwardness.

You’ve already taken the biggest step by joining. Now it’s time to build your network, make your first request, and discover how much easier life becomes when support flows naturally among friends and neighbours.
