Fue una reuni\u00f3n maravillosa de familiares y amigos; todo el mundo ayud\u00f3 mucho a montar y recoger todo en un parque junto al r\u00edo. Me fij\u00e9 en que hab\u00eda al menos unas 8 familias, todas se conoc\u00edan y confiaban entre s\u00ed, y ten\u00edan ni\u00f1os peque\u00f1os.  <\/p><p> <\/p><p>Al hablar con la gente y recordar una estad\u00edstica que hab\u00eda visto anteriormente, empec\u00e9 a comprender por qu\u00e9 prescindimos tanto de ello. La Cruz Roja hab\u00eda publicado informaci\u00f3n y algunos datos se me quedaron grabados. Alrededor del 55 % de las personas se quedan en casa porque no encuentran a alguien que cuide de sus hijos.  <\/p><p> <\/p><p>Al mirar a mi alrededor en esa fiesta, vi lo que deber\u00eda ser una red de apoyo s\u00f3lida y, sin embargo, no exist\u00eda. Claro, algunas personas se ayudaban entre s\u00ed, pero eso segu\u00eda significando tener que pedir ese favor. La mayor\u00eda de las personas que cuidan ni\u00f1os son amigos y familiares, como es l\u00f3gico, pero entonces, \u00bfpor qu\u00e9 hay un n\u00famero tan alto de personas que no pueden encontrar a alguien que los cuide?  <\/p><p> <\/p><p>Me di cuenta entonces de que ese 55 % probablemente no era gente que realmente no pudiera encontrar a alguien, sino que decid\u00eda ni siquiera pedirlo. Decid\u00edan quedarse en casa sin recurrir realmente a una red de apoyo, sin siquiera ver si hab\u00eda alguien dispuesto a echar una mano con los ni\u00f1os. El mes pasado estuve cenando con uno de los padres de la fiesta del domingo. Solo uno. Eso es porque el otro se qued\u00f3 en casa para cuidar de sus hijas. Entiendo lo de querer ser padre, pero en a\u00f1os no los he visto tener un momento a solas como adultos.     <\/p><p> <\/p><p>Parece que se ha producido un peque\u00f1o cambio cultural, en el que no nos involucramos tanto con nuestros vecinos y estamos menos conectados en nuestro d\u00eda a d\u00eda. Buscamos valernos por nosotros mismos, pidiendo ayuda solo cuando es absolutamente necesario y, a menudo, esperando pagar por ello. Esto ha creado un muro por el que solemos decir que no a hacer cosas o a que se hagan. O bien las hacemos solos, o pagamos y lo convertimos en algo transaccional, o simplemente no ocurren.   <\/p><p> <\/p><p><strong>\u00a1No tiene por qu\u00e9 tratarse de dinero!<\/strong><\/p><p>Basta con hablar con la gente para saber que hay personas dispuestas a ayudar a los dem\u00e1s, pero \u00bfpide la gente esa ayuda? \u00bfPor qu\u00e9 no podemos conseguir a alguien que cuide de los ni\u00f1os m\u00e1s a menudo de lo que lo hacemos? \u00bfA qu\u00e9 estamos diciendo que no?  <\/p><p> <\/p><p>Realmente deber\u00edamos pensar un poco m\u00e1s en nuestros propios estilos de vida, as\u00ed como en la comunidad que estamos creando a nuestro alrededor sin darnos cuenta. Al quedarnos encerrados, relacionarnos menos con los dem\u00e1s y ayudarnos menos entre nosotros, \u00bfqu\u00e9 es exactamente lo que nos estamos perdiendo? <\/p><p> <\/p><p><strong><em>\u00bfCu\u00e1les son los beneficios de encontrar a alguien que cuide de los ni\u00f1os y decir \u00abs\u00ed\u00bb m\u00e1s a menudo?<\/em><\/strong><\/p><ul><li><strong>Tiempo para adultos<\/strong><br\/>Como padres, necesitamos mantener las conexiones adultas y pensar y comportarnos como adultos en situaciones sociales para evitar la desconexi\u00f3n. Tambi\u00e9n es importante poder pasar este tiempo juntos como pareja. <\/li><li><strong>Estilo de vida equilibrado<\/strong><br\/>Pasar nuestro tiempo de una manera m\u00e1s equilibrada ayuda a mejorar la salud mental y a reducir el estr\u00e9s. Tomarse un tiempo de descanso con m\u00e1s facilidad puede reducir la presi\u00f3n en las relaciones y dar lugar a un tiempo de mejor calidad cuando se est\u00e1 juntos o cuando se ejerce la paternidad. <\/li><li><strong>Desarrollo social<\/strong><br\/>Cuidar a los ni\u00f1os no significa simplemente que dejes a tu hijo sin nada, sino que en realidad le das la oportunidad de desarrollarse socialmente. Interact\u00faan y aprenden m\u00e1s con otros adultos, as\u00ed como con otros ni\u00f1os con los que pasan tiempo. <\/li><li><strong>Resiliencia<\/strong><br\/>Tanto los ni\u00f1os como los padres necesitan aprender a sobrellevar el estar separados a veces.
